# Categories

### Configure the categories

Select the customize theme option. At the top of the page, click on the dropdown menu to select the **Home page** template.\
\
From the left side menu, select **Categories.**

Customize the featured collection section by utilizing the settings on the right side of the theme editor as described below:

These colors can be managed in the assigned color scheme.<br><br><strong>Container width</strong><br>Choose the slideshow width from the following options:<br>- Global <em>(On selecting this option, the width will be managed via theme settings > Layout > Container.)</em><br>- Small<br>- Regular<br>- Medium<br>- Edges gap</p></td></tr><tr><td>Content</td><td><p><strong>Heading</strong> </p><p>Add heading text. <br>(Note: Wrap your text between [ ] to add the markers font.)<br><br><strong>Markers font</strong><br>Choose the marker's font from the following options:<br>- Accent<br>- Body<br>- Heading<br><em>(Note: These fonts can be changed in theme settings>typography.)</em><br><br><strong>Marker text style</strong><br>Select the marker highlight style from the following options:<br>- None<br>- Text color<br>- Outline text<br>- Fill outline<br>- Text background color<br><br><strong>Heading size</strong><br>Select the heading size from the following options:<br>- XX- large<br>- X- large<br>- Large<br>- Medium<br>- Small<br>- X-small<br><br><strong>Heading tag</strong><br>Specify heading code types from H1-H6, div, span or p tag for SEO and search engines for crawling purposes.<br><br><strong>Description</strong> </p><p>Add description text.  <br><br><strong>Description text size</strong><br>Select the description text size from the following options:<br>- X- large<br>- Large<br>- Medium<br>- Small<br>- X-small</p></td></tr><tr><td>Background</td><td><strong>Image</strong><br>Choose any image for the section background.<br><br><strong>Overlay opacity</strong><br>Adjust the range bar to determine the overlay opacity.<br><em>(Note: To change overlay color, edit the scheme "Image overlay background" color in the color scheme under theme settings.)</em></td></tr><tr><td>Item settings</td><td><strong>Desktop size</strong><br>Choose the item size from the following settings, for the desktop view:<br>- Large<br>- Medium<br>- Small<br>- X-small<br><br><strong>Mobile size</strong><br>Choose the item size from the following settings, for the mobile view:<br>- Large<br>- Medium<br>- Small<br>- X-small<br><br><strong>Enable border</strong><br>Select the checkbox to show border around the items.<br><br><strong>Image height</strong><br>Choose the item image's height from the following options:<br>- Auto<br>- Adapt to content</td></tr><tr><td>Animation</td><td><strong>Enable animation</strong><br>Select the checkbox to enable the animation on loading of the section.</td></tr><tr><td>Colors</td><td><strong>Category background</strong><br>Choose any color for the category background.<br><br><strong>Category text</strong><br>Choose any color for the category text.<br><br><strong>Category background hover</strong><br>Choose any color for the hover category background.<br><br><strong>Category hover text</strong><br>Choose any color for the hover category text.</td></tr><tr><td>Section spacing</td><td><p><strong>Desktop top space</strong></p><p>Adjust the range bar to add spacing at the top of the section for desktop view.  <br> </p><p><strong>Desktop bottom space</strong></p><p>Adjust the range bar to add spacing at the bottom of the section for desktop view. </p><p> </p><p><strong>Mobile top space</strong></p><p>Adjust the range bar to add spacing at the top of the section for mobile view. </p><p> </p><p><strong>Mobile bottom space</strong><br>Adjust the range bar to add spacing at the bottom of the section for mobile view. </p></td></tr></tbody></table>
